About Trupo Treats
Hi! We're Brian and Charlie, the Trupo Twins. Trupo Treats started when Brian walked into Whole Foods in his last year of college and couldn't find any tasty, creamy chocolate that was vegan. So, he called me up while I was studying 4,000 miles away with the idea of starting a vegan chocolate company. Immediately I said yes and we got to work making the most delicious vegan milk chocolate in existence, while also making sure it was ethically made, better-for-you, and giving back to the causes we believe in.

- Our manufacturer has a strict allergen procedure protocol, where each department has its own allergens and every product that is produced in the specific department has a written declaration/ notification on the package under “contains” and “may contain”. If a special product requires specific “free from” allergen, there is a strict written procedure that defines the cleaning method, collecting samples from the lines during production and to the final product to ensure that the product is clean, safe, and free of the allergen.

BRAND STORY
One day in my last year of college, I was walking through Whole Foods and realized there were no creamy, sweet milk chocolate products that were vegan or allergen-free. I immediately called my identical twin, Charlie, and told him that we HAVE to make a vegan milk chocolate company. Just 3 months later, we launched our first product, our Vegan Rice Crunch Bar. After some extraordinary success, we knew this was the start of our journey Veganizing Your Childhood Favorites™.

FOR THE ANIMALS
Brian and I have vegan for the animals since we were 15 years old and vegetarians since we were 7 years old! As animal lovers, our journey started one Thanksgiving when we made the realization that the food on our plates was actually an animal.
Since going vegan, we've been active in the vegan community and even volunteered numerous times at sanctuaries all around the United States. To this day, we have partnered with over 100 animal sanctuaries and given them over $11,000 in proceeds. We pledge to give over 10% of net profits to animal sanctuaries and other sustainability or humanitarian causes around the world. Our goal is to donate over $1 million a year to charities by 2030.
FOR THE PEOPLE & PLANET
With everything we do, we aim to be kind to the people, planet, and animals. One way we do this is by using Rainforest Alliance Certified Cocoa for our Vegan Wafer Bars. This means that our cocoa is sourced from farms that comply with the standards of the Sustainable Agriculture Network, which aims to promote sustainability in farming and protect farmers, forests, wildlife, and local communities. By using Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa, we can be confident that our chocolate is kind to all.
Our Vegan Wafer Bars are also kind to the planet because they are wrapped with recyclable wrappers, which prevents the creation of waste from single-use plastics. We hope to one day find a solution for wrappers that can be completely compostable at home!

The box came damaged but they are tasty
I've had Trupo's Wafer Bars for years now and they never disappoint! Absoutely incredible, every single time! What was new were the "stroopels" and I wasn't sure what to expect never having had one before. So I can't compare them to anything but I can say they are fantastic. They're chewy, which I didn't expect at all, and they aren't overly sweet. They're the perfect treat!
Perfectly balanced, sweet but not overly so, and a light satisfying crisp. Get these!!
They taste great! This was my 2nd time ordering the wafer bars.. Would be even better if they were sized like a kit-kat :-)
My 1st time trying the Stroopwafel Cookies... They're a tasty sweet treat also.. The texture is interesting.
I enjoyed the new bars, they tasted good, and fun to eat, glad they are gluten free bars, I think everyone should buy them.
